Ricardo Arenhaldt

Ricardo Arenhaldt plays drums since his 8 years of age and learned the first steps with his father. He has played with Ivan Lins, Nanna Caymmi, Geraldo Flach, Kleiton & Kledir, Nei Lisboa, José Miguel Wisnik, Ná Ozzetti, Adriana Calcanhoto and regional music artists such as Fagundes, Luiz Carlos Borges, Elton Saldanha and Rui Biriva And is a member of the instrumental group Quartchêto.


He has worked as a drum and percussion teacher at the American College of Porto Alegre since 1999. He worked as a teacher at the Brasilia International Festival together with Kiko Freitas. He graduated in Music Degree from the Faculty of IPA in 2005. He has toured countries such as Germany, Portugal, Spain, France, Austria, Argentina and Uruguay.


He won three Açorianos awards, being in 1995 he was best percussion player, best MPB instrumentalist in 2002 and best regional instrumentalist in 2005 with the Quartchêto group. In January of 2013 was professor of battery in the International Festival Sesc of Music of Pelotas.


In 2014 he traveled to France where he played in the Brazil / France Festival and in 2015 he made a Tour of 10 concerts in Germany. In January 2016 he traveled to Germany where he taught Brazilian rhythm workshops at two music schools and for musicians of a Big Band. In that same year the CD "Muito Bom Tocar Junto" (Very Good Play Together) by Ivan Lins and Geraldo Flach was released, where Ricardo Arenhaldt played in all tracks and in October the Quartchêto released his 3rd CD. He works constantly with the Chamber Orchestra of Theatro São Pedro and the Orchestra of Ulbra.
